MINISTRY's 'Rio Grande Blood' Debuts At No. 75 On Canadian Chart
May 10, 2006MINISTRY's latest CD, "Rio Grande Blood", debuted at No. 75 on the Top 200 Canadian chart and at No. 10 on the Canadian Hard Music chart. As previously reported, the CD sold around 7,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at No. 134 on next week's The Billboard 200 chart.
Available on 13th Planet Records/Megaforce in the U.S./Canada and 13th Planet Records/Soulfood Music Distrib GbmH in Europe, "Rio Grande Blood" was produced by MINISTRY mainman Al Jourgensen at 13th Planet Studios in El Paso, TX, mixed at The Saltmine in Mesa, AZ, and mastered at DNA Mastering in Studio City, CA. The album features guitarist Victor, Raven and drummer Mark Baker, with guest appearances by Jello Biafra (ex-DEAD KENNEDYS) and Sgt. Major.
MINISTRY's MasterBaTour 2006 kicked off this past weekend with 60 dates scheduled throughout the U.S. and Canada. Support on the trek will come from Al's other band, REVOLTING COCKS and the San Antonio, Texas-based PITBULL DAYCARE.
